WHAT WE BELIEVE

Affirmation of Faith

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and buried.

He descended into hell, on the third day He arose again from the dead and ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father. From thence, He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Universal Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sin, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

OUR DOCTRINE

What We Believe

At Abundant Life Family Worship Church, our faith is firmly rooted in the Word of God and the historic foundations of the Christian faith. Below is a detailed look at the core tenets that guide our ministry, our worship, and our daily lives.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living, providing the ultimate foundation for how we conduct our lives and our ministry.

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe, eternally existing and showing infinite love, justice, and mercy to all of His creation.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord. We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless human life. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried to pay the penalty for our sins. On the third day, He arose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. From there, He shall return to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose presence draws us to Christ and equips us for daily living. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer from the moment of salvation, providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, offered to all humanity through grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the complete forgiveness of sin through Christ's sacrifice on the cross, which reconciles us to God and frees us from the penalty of sin.

We believe in the Universal Church and the Communion of Saints. The Church is the spiritual body of believers worldwide, united in Christ. We are called to function together as a spiritual family, dedicating ourselves to worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and fellowship, while actively carrying out the mission of E.M.B.R.A.C.E. in our local community.

We believe in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Humanity was created to exist forever, either eternally separated from God by sin or eternally in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. We look forward with hope to the eternal kingdom of God.
